When I first got interested in portablizing, the specifics and methods behind Wii trimming and how it worked were some of the more confusing parts for me when I was a complete beginner in electronics.
A couple of weeks ago I went ahead and did a 6 hour livestream where I did a thorough explanation of how Wii trimming is possible, how to identify good Wiis for trimming, the tools needed, and then a complete demo of how to trim a Wii and do all of the important relocations. I didn't edit much out, so it's a very lengthy video that showcases everything in as much detail as I could manage.
This video is NOT a replacement or substitute for the Definitive Wii Trimming Guide. The Wii trimming guide should be pulled up alongside the video for the best understanding of what's going on. This is just a long video that demonstrates everything slowly, so that people who are stuck on a certain point can have another resource to reference and hopefully get unstuck.
Hope this helps!
