Question My Trimmed PS2 Won't Boot

sorry, I guess its not much of a chip, But I mean the linear regulator shown here: (link) with the 5v and 8.5v marked. I seen that you had that regulator removed in (this image here), and I'm wondering if it needs to be removed to work properly.

Question My Trimmed PS2 Won't Boot

ok that is good to know, and I will try that as soon as I can. I see that on the page you linked, then you removed the chip completely. is that necessary and why?

Question My Trimmed PS2 Won't Boot

This is probably something really simple (or at least that's what I hope). I have just finished my first ever trimmed console of any kind, but unfortunately it wont boot. The board itself doesn't seem to have any damage on it at all, so hopefully my wiring is at to blame here. semi important...

    Release Ps2 voltage regulator board

(edited) I got a few questions about this before I completely destroy my freshly trimmed board. 1:What is the 5 volt out for? because the trimming guide doesn't have a 5v location, except for this: (This). 2: is the 1.8 volt out on this board close enough for the 1.75 on the ps2 board? 3:does...

Question Network Port on the SCPH-79001 motherboard.

I'm very sorry, but I was wrong. I tested a port similar to the AliExpress one, that I had on an old computer and the 4 pins at the back are actually for the leds, not extra grounds. this is made more clear with these photos...

Question Network Port on the SCPH-79001 motherboard.

Edit: (My information is wrong here, the 4 pins at the back of the port are actually the pins for the 2 leds in the connector, not extra ground connections.) interesting question. I have never thought about that before. I think it would work though, because the only difference I can see...

yeah, I was looking at those ones. Do they have good game compatibility? because I have never seen one of these in a portable before.

Question Compatibility with 3rd party ps2 controller

I found these ps2 controller chips for sale on AliExpress. I'm wondering if anyone has used them, and if they have compatibility issues with any games? for example if they don't work on games that than need variable resistance buttons, or a ps2 controller.

Question PS2 VGA is not working in 4layertech screen

well... this is bad news for my portable Ps2. Does this mean that it might be possible to find another driver PCB that is compatible with the screen? Also, do you know anything about the ribbon cable on the screen? Because if the ribbon cable has some sort of standard, it would be useful to...

Worklog My First Portable PS2 (Model SCPH-79001)

I'm finally making a worklog for my ps2 portable project. I will not start on the physical part of the project for at least a few weeks because of a hand injury, but for now I can figure out what I am doing with the project. My main goal with this project is to learn, but also to make a portable...

Question Where can I get a Ps2-PMS? or alternative ways to power Ps2.

okay, thanks for the information, I never knew they were so similar. I don't think I have enough experience in electronics to be able to do that yet, but maybe someday I will, or someone else will do it on the forums. I might take a look at the board some time and try to figure it out, but for...

Question Where can I get a Ps2-PMS? or alternative ways to power Ps2.

This feels like the wrong place to ask this, but I don't want to make a new thread for no reason. Does anyone know why the ps2-PMS is not for sale anymore, and not just open source? (Not that I think it needs to be open source, I didn't make it, and I don't deserve to use it just because I want to)

Question Where can I get a Ps2-PMS? or alternative ways to power Ps2.

I am hoping to do the advanced trim, but I'm not very experienced. If I cant find a good way to power it, I will probably just do the basic trim, or no trim.

Question Where can I get a Ps2-PMS? or alternative ways to power Ps2.

I have started a ps2 portable project, but I can't find a very good way to power it. As far as I know, its impossible to get the Ps2-PMS. If any one knows where I can get a Ps2_PMS or the schematics, that would be great. If not, I would like to know alternative ways of powering Ps2 portables. (I...
