Question Trimming Less Off than OMGWTF

Unlikely to be able to mount to the back casing, but I may have to make design changes if the Wii trim doesn't work. Thanks!

Question Trimming Less Off than OMGWTF

The Wii motherboard sits over the display (6.5") and I didn't want to have to put mounts on the back of the screen. 1. Because I didn't like the idea of the extra weight of the MB and heatsink being mounted to the back of the screen. 2. I want the MB as close as possible to the screen, and...

Question Trimming Less Off than OMGWTF

I have partially trimmed my Wii, but cut way outside the OMGWTF trim lines, as I want extended areas that I can drill mounting holes into, to mount the board. All the Trim Guide says is "Trying to cut out less means that there are more parts of the Wii motherboard that could throw errors if...

    Worklog Zelda Themed Gwii

Ok no worries. I just checked. It was a pain, as I had to partial reassembly the gamepad parts, then get the wiiU console out and sync the wiimote, and enter Wii mode in order to get the IR LED's to power on Anyway they do take 3V. And it's a 10Ω resistor. Edit: and the 2 leds are in series, so...

Ah ok thanks. The Wii U gamepad LED's also run off 12V? If so, I'll just use the Wii U LED's and solder new resistors.

Thanks. I'm building it in a Wii U gamepad. So I will just use the existing LED's, and their resistors if I can locate them. Will probably just cut the top of the board off, and run wires to the LED resistors, headphone jack, and volume slider.

Hey how do you connect the IR LED's to get the Wiimote to work? Is there a guide anywhere? Or do they just need to be connected to a power source and that's it?

    Question Fan selection

Thanks guys. Yeah I've ordered the 4Layer PMS. Doesn't it have fan speed control built in, with the temperature sensor? So will the fan only ramp up to max power if the processors get real hot? Doesn't make sense to me to set the fan speed lower if that's the case, cause all I'd be doing is...

    Question Fan selection

I'm shopping for a fan for my wii portable, that needs to be 40x40x7. I have found several blower fans, but the wattage varies greatly. The lowest is 0.3W, and the highest is 1.6W. Would the 0.3W fan be less powerful, or just far more efficient? Will the 1.6W just be less efficient, and/or...

Worklog: Wii U Gamepad Original Screen Custom LCD Driver Board

I love this! But can't wait for it, so I bought the innonux. I asked a couple of lcd sellers if they had driver boards for that screen, but they either said no or that they would have to make one and it would be very costly. I don't know if there's more to it than just the board. Would they be...
