Ok no worries. I just checked. It was a pain, as I had to partial reassembly the gamepad parts, then get the wiiU console out and sync the wiimote, and enter Wii mode in order to get the IR LED's to power on
Anyway they do take 3V. And it's a 10Ω resistor.

Thanks. I'm building it in a Wii U gamepad. So I will just use the existing LED's, and their resistors if I can locate them. Will probably just cut the top of the board off, and run wires to the LED resistors, headphone jack, and volume slider.
Hey how do you connect the IR LED's to get the Wiimote to work? Is there a guide anywhere? Or do they just need to be connected to a power source and that's it?
Thanks guys. Yeah I've ordered the 4Layer PMS. Doesn't it have fan speed control built in, with the temperature sensor? So will the fan only ramp up to max power if the processors get real hot?

I'm shopping for a fan for my wii portable, that needs to be 40x40x7. I have found several blower fans, but the wattage varies greatly.
The lowest is 0.3W, and the highest is 1.6W.
Would the 0.3W fan be less powerful, or just far more efficient?
Will the 1.6W just be less efficient, and/or...
