Just a little update: I finished printing this out several days ago- need to do a bit of drilling and painting but I think it could work as the final if I work with it enough. I got 3.25v on my 3.3 today. I had replaced the resistor but that didn't do the trick.... I popped off the voltage regulator, re-did the solder, and used the heat gun to put it back on there.

It looks like the 3v3 and 1v both draw down significantly under load to the point of being unusable.. Something may be be flawed about my power system as a whole.

Edit: I just ordered the inductor it calls for in the data sheet directly from Coilcraft. Gotta love that $8 shipping for a $1 part.

I got the new inductors today and put them on by expanding the pads with wire.... The voltage problem was exactly the same as before. I figured my N-Channel Mosfet must be making the ground unusable and took it off after that. After removing the mosfet I found that my power supply itself dipped to 3.5v under load and figure the power supply itself must be inadequate with its 5v @ 2amp. I guess I'll have to buy a usb-C breakout board to feed it 5v from one of my larger supplies and see where I go from there. I'd still like the N-channel to work for my on/off switch at some point if anyone can offer any pointers. Using part # STD5N20LT4 with a 1kohm gate and 100kohm pull down resistor.

I now have 3.22, 1.05, .9 under load with no video output. Had to re-attach the 1v regulator twice.

Still testing my custom regulators... Got this board to show me a black screen which is actually an improvement. I have everything I need to finish the 3D print models so I'll have that to show soonish.

Edit: 3/11/23 7:32 EST - I just ordered larger resistors for RBF 2 for all 3 voltages. 1v will be going from 6.65kohm -> 8.06kohm, 1v15 will be going from 9.9kohms -> 9.31kohms

We have.... a boot! I moved my 9.09 kOhm resistor to the 1v regulator and changed the 1.15v regulator to 9.31 kOhm. I can now check my trimmed boards with it to see if they are viable.

Here's a little progress update:

I only have a few more trims to make to my plastic before I paint it. I currently have a working trimmed board for this project and just need to do the magnet wires for data stuffs.

Pretty much done here but- I need an extra 3mm of clearance from the top to the bottom given where I put the power switch and vent fan. I'm printing the 3mm shim and see how I like it. I also did a little redesign on the bottom in Blender that I will try to print as well. If my modified bottom prints well enough I will transfer everything to it.
