Hello, today I am working on the assembly of my portable PS2 and I had a question. Is it possible to reuse the original regulators of my PS2 with the Trim advance?
tell me if I'm not clear in what I'm saying

You probably could, however it would take a lot of figuring out as there is no documentation on using the original regulators and they wouldn't be near as efficient as using a newer, more robust custom regulator solution.

I would go with custom regulators personally!

I agree with Legend, the switching regulators don't have the best documentation, so you'd have to reverse engineer the controllers based off of what little information we have.
The 5 V linear regulators are fairly simple so if you really need or want to reuse them, you certainly could. They're fairly cheap though (<$0.50), so desoldering them may not even be worth your time.

On the other hand, we have well-documented custom solutions already available, so if you're pursuing a turnkey solution, that would be the way to go.
