so, i finally ordered my gboy case from a custom 3d printing service on etsy ad i chose to have it in abs which i just found out was the same material used in the Wi shell lol

Though both are ABS, what you ordered is most likely FDM 3D-printed, whereas the Wii shell is injection molded.

Nah it isn't bad at all. It takes some extra care to print compared to PLA in order to prevent warping, but it is a more durable material and resists much higher temperatures.

I think what CrazyGadget meant was that the case you ordered is not going to be mirrored shiny smooth like an injection moulded Wii shell is. Even though it is the same basic material, the case you ordered will have that inescapable 3D printed texture. It'll still be fairly comfortable to hold though.
