Solved Gmans N64 Controller PCB - BOM questions

Hi all,

I am trying to get all necessary parts to build an N64 Controller PCB by @Gman (this one). There is a BOM in the project but I am not sure which parts I should order.

• 1-5 - I think these are the easiest ones. I found caps / resistors with matching footprint and values, I am just not sure if the other attributes are important (e.g. Voltage rated for caps etc.) or if I can just take any that fits the mentioned values.
• 7 - I can find several PIC16F15324 with matching footprint but again not sure if there are other criteria that are important. Would this one work?
• 8 - Same as above, several chips matching the description, e.g. this one, but not sure what the different suffixes mean or what I need to look for exactly.
• 11 - Haven't found a matching piece yet, any recommendations appreciated.

For the capacitors you can just take one which are 16V rated.
U13 is this one: https://www.digikey.com/en/products/detail/microchip-technology/PIC16F15324-I-JQ/6691274
For U14 you already found the right one.
J2 are the pins where you program your PIC, you can just solder wires directly to it during programming.

Thank you very much for your answer. Just for the future, how do I know that I need 16V rated caps?

It depends on the use case but in this case you have only 3.3V. So you can even take 10V or 6.3V caps but it is not much difference in price.
