This is great stuff. The 2ds has always been my favorite 3ds family system and this will help me make some of the mods ive always wanted to do. It would be cool if it had the little volume slider piece though. It would be pretty awsome for like a full clear shell. Thanks for this contribution!

Thank you so much for these scans, Wesk!
I modeled and tested a 3D printed battery cover to complete the set!

I've attached the STL to this post. It's been printed and tested with a 0.2 and 0.4mm nozzle from Bambulabs printers by myself and redherring32.

I didn't include the small bumps so that it can be printed flat face down.
Some supports are needed for the latches in that orientation.
If you print one, feel free to send me a pic!
If there are inaccuracies with the model, let me know! Happy printing!

Can somebody help me? I downloaded and unzipped the file, but when I tried to open it in bambu studio, it showed the error that says it has no geometry data. I tried it with other slicers, blender, and using a different way to open the rar file, but nothing worked.

I want to print a 2DS front shell, cause mine is too damaged. To properly work a specific material is required to print? (I'm planning to order the service from someone else).

Any chance for the power and sleep buttons?

This project is amazing. Thank you so much.

Any material will do, it's more a question of the tolerances of the printer. If you want something that looks seamless, MSLA resin or SLS nylon would be the way to go (but more expensive than FDM)

the scans are a good working off place for something like Kamp is doing. They aren’t smooth and accurate enough for printing. Tried the front cover and before even printing, just looking at the slice, it wasn’t worth trying

great work! I tried to contact you on bsky, i guess you are not active there

I printed base scan files because my 3d modelling skills are exactly 0. I printed left and right side on resin printer (custom blue resin) and result is better than I imagined. Yes of course I broke it, but I will post some photos soon.

btw. only one shoulder button is included (i think mirroring should work) and SD card door with its "holder" is also not included in 3D scan + your left side scan is def. broken too (missing part on lower side)
