Worklog NintenDoom64: AV&LED Modded/Custom Painted N64

Time for some wax sessions and low-light dining. Here's a nightly mod that @Postman and I are working on.

It's a Nintendo 64 with a custom splatter paint that I did from back in the Nobble64p era. We are adding a few LEDs to illuminate the badge, standard RCA ports, and HDMI(probably).

Those are some good looking hands. Whoever owns those hands must be generally awesome but in a refined "I deliver mail" sort of way.

Smol update time!

Wired up an AV2HDMI that we got at Micro center and reused the RCA input from the AV2HDMI as composite output.

Still to do:
- Laser cut custom N64 badge for the front of the console
- HDMI mounting bracket
- Custom controllers

Another update! Got the custom N64 badges created using the laser cutter an my work. The cool thing about it is that the cutter will actually cut in 3D by mapping colors to specific values of depth. Neat stuff!

Neat stuff indeed. I didn't even know that. I may have to experiment with this now.

Slow and steady slays the demon!

Currently finishing up epoxying LEDs and adding extra buttons to the Demon Gunn controller.

Now if we can get this CNT-NUS chip working properly we will be in business.

@Postman and I successfully got the Demon Gunn modded into a full fledged Doom64 controller! The NintenDOOM64 registers a working gamepad and memory card. Once we get it fully together, I will post some nice memes. For now, I'll keep posting teasers on Instaspam.

Almost finished with the second custom controller for this console. This way you can still experience the original gameplay of DOOM64. @Madmorda sent me the custom hand-molded transluciferent red buttons for this one. They turned out great! Thanks again for sending these!!!

The buttons and pentagram will light up red. Also planning on adding accent lights inside the case of the NintenDOOM64. It's getting a few more modifications and then it should be ready to close up.
