I finally finished my Retro Lite CM4 shadowbox!

I always liked the concept of displaying exploded game consoles on the walls as art. I think a vertical explosion would have looked way cooler but obviously that’s impossible to do thanks to gravity. I had too many of these lying around and people don’t want to pay a lot for something that is so underpowered when $100 Chinese emulator machines exist, so rather than selling it, I thought I’d make some art out of it.

I made the backdrop in Inkscape pretty easily and then got the frame custom made according to the dimensions I needed (the whole thing is 480x480mm). The poster is held on with double sided tape as well as the parts (got some extra strong stuff, let’s hope it holds!).

Now to get some string to hang it up on the wall! I think it looks pretty good and a few people have asked about it when I’ve had them over so it sparks up some cool discussions about BitBuilt over dinner :D

It's not completed yet, you're missing the SD card!!!

Jokes aside, fantastic work! Definitely would love to do something like this but for Nintendo consoles, would make fantastic wall art haha
