This is what I've been thinking for a while. If both NANDs and 3 daughterboards are relocated (and SMC disabled), it seems like just a matter of time until someone trims up to those 2 inductors next to the RAM (or around there). Of course this will be cutting off 2 of the regulators but that isn't an issue if using custom ones like the board that Yveltal designed, and if the SMC and RTC can get taken care of. I also wonder if the availability of those custom, beefy regulators have changed ever since the pandemic. Huge props to Yveltal, Nold, leprechaun, and others for their effort!This is really awesome. If the flash can be removed and replaced with an SD card soldered to vias under the SOC, the wireless modules could be relocated, disc drive can be relocated with 4 wires, and custom regulators can be used, that really narrows things down. We could be pretty close to straight up cutting off half the board. Is there anything else other than the controller chip on the front of the board?
