@Zalta you may be mistaken. I've made a G-Boy but not a G-Wii of my own, only helping on the "BB-Wii" at MGC 2019.
Not sure I follow what you mean on your last point. Did he suggest building a G-Wii over a G-Boy? Both can be built by determined beginners but the G-Wii is probably more friendly. The G-Boy kits are no longer for sale, but if you still want to build one, see this thread:
