    Question PMS-PD heating too much?

I recently notice that the USB port (and the nearby area) of the PMS-PD rev3 in my Ashida becomes quite hot after ~30 min of gameplay, I mesured 45/46°C. Besides that it seems to work fine. Is it supposed to be normal or the PD is going to be fried soon?

    Chameleon Ashida

Thanks! For the memory card slot I opened a hole with dremel in the bulge underneath the back, and the PAL just show a black screen while audio working fine. I recently made a thread with a list of every game I tested, if you are interested and want to contribute you are more than welcome...

    Chameleon Ashida

To enjoy the full potential of a portable gamecube, I think the memory card slot is mandatory as you can switch between the handheld and console with ease. Then I changed the bluetooth sync button with a pushbutton wired to the 3,3v vga mode pad to enable or disable that function, since not...

Discussion Pal games not supporting progressive scan (blue/black screen)

That's strange, PAL should be PAL :rothink: I dumped it with checksum enabled so they shouldn't be any corrupt regions in there. Besides the iso actually works fine because I can play it with composite input... Maybe it's actually a different version for Australian consoles

    RVLoader v2.0

Hi Aurelio I relocated MX chip, went to the wii system menu to set the correct time and date but the clock in rvloader is not synced. In-game saves get the correct time from the wii tho. Is it a bug or did I mess something? Thanks

Discussion Pal games not supporting progressive scan (blue/black screen)

Hello euro fellows. You may notice that not all the games that you dumped in your portable works in vga mode, showing instead just a blue/black screen while the audio plays in the bg. That's because vga input works only in progressive scan format, which is a option natively supported by ntsc...

    Question Rvl-amp to jack connection

Hello everyone I was checking the connection between rvl-amp and headphone jack via ashida pcb with multimeter and I noticed that ground and right audio channel are swapped compared to the 4layer diagram. (The jack leg supposed to be wired to gnd is instead connected to hr and vice versa) So I...

Now I'm stuck with the headphone problem. They are not detected at all. I was testing the connections with rvl-amp chip but I noticed that ground and right channel are switched So I desoldered the chip (even slightly damaging the pcb) and tested the jack pads below and I got the same result...

Hello everyone. So as I said I got another wii, got it trimmed and tested, everything was fine, but as I installed it in the shell... nothing changed. The restart issue was still there. Just like the previous wii it "worked" for like 30 mins, I was able to play something although the video...

Here is a couple of pictures of the current situation. When it was still working I set the pms to turn on with that kind of switch, so to do all my tests I kept the chip wired with the audio pcb as I dom’t know how to properly wire that switch directly to the pms

Some days ago the wii started to boot only after some hours of rest, I thought that may be a capacitor unable to discharge after the turn off, but after some troubleshooting it began to not booting at all. Eventually I disconnected everything but the RVL PMS2 and the composite cable, tried to...

Luckly the PMS seems fine, all the voltages are perfect. That means that the wii is dead †. But at this point I'm too committed so I have to buy another one to sacrifice!

Is there a way to know if the PMS is still working properly? I’m starting to think that either it or the wii are dead

I found this mf solder blob near a capacitor on pms, probably made it during some cable lenght adjustment. I cleaned and tomorrow I’ll test it! Hope I found the problem

Hey folks, big problems here Since a couple of days the wii do not boot after a restart, but it work if I let it rest for some hours. I.e. I turn it on and it boots, then I turn it off after a couple of minutes to change game and when I turn it on again it works only the fan and the (blue)...

I finally made to the end of the build and... It boots!!! But as expected it's far from working. The games do not load, except sometimes the menu audio starts playing but most of the time it's just a silent blue screen. I saw Dubesinhower guide that thinner wire gauge are recommended so...

Question Wii memory card slot relocation

Hello there I'm building an Ashida with GC memory card slot, but looking at the wii trim diagram I'm not sure if I have to solder the data wires to the test pads or to those DA components. Do somebody know it?
