Question GC+ 'R' problem

Hey guys, I'm currently in the process of putting a gc+ in a wii pro controller. Everything works properly except 'R'. My GC+ has no dual tact resistors, I've soldered switches to the R & L plates and to the + plate. When I press L, the Z axis bar goes up, which is right. But when I press R, both the Z axis and Z rotation bars go up as if I'm pressing them at the same time. I've gone through all the documentation again and checked for bad solder joints and shorts but found nothing. Is there the possibility that I got a bad GC+? Thanks.

Can you take a picture or draw an exact diagram of the way you wired up your GC+ to the Wii pro controller?

Pics please. Also you can't use the dual tact method without a 10k resistor each on L and R. Atm without the resistors it doesn't work properly.

I'm not using dual tact, just a single switch to do a full analog press.

When I press L: https://i.imgur.com/ElWtLRI.jpg
When I press R: https://i.imgur.com/bDDWzYv.jpg

How I have it wired up:

Thanks guys!
So you're just using the analog press, no final click for full function? You'll still need a 10k resistor between L/R and ground for it to work correctly. There are two sets of two pads under the GC+ on the side with L/R, you can solder a regular 10k resistor between each of those paired spots, or from the L/R pads/wire on top.

Also, why did you put epoxy over the board BEFORE ensuring it functioned correctly?
Also also, did you update the GC+ to 1.1? You said you read the docs, but did you update it as well?

Yeah, just the analog press. I went ahead and followed the dual tact video to put the 2 10k resistors on the underside of the gc+, and it's still doing the same thing.

I tested the second gc+ I bought from you guys and it does the same thing on pc, wii, and wiiu. All I have soldered to that one is L, +, -, and D with the switch connected to 'L' and '+'. That one came with the 10k resistors already on. Did I possibly get bad gc+ units?

p.s. Its not epoxy, its a small amount of hot glue to keep my meh solder joints from breaking, and it comes off really easily. Also yes it's updated to 1.1.

Any ideas? I tried reflowing the chip but still didn't make a difference.

Edit: also put a 1k res between 3.3 and D, no difference.

Drop Aurelio a quick pm since I'm kind of confused. He's the one who designed the whole thing, so if anyone can help you, it'd be him.
