Hey guys,
I wanna replace the batteries on my Gboy rev 3 that I bought years ago. Do I need to be careful with anything or is it like replace the 2 batteries of an TV remote? And is it possible to use hall effect switch analog sticks instead of the normal ones with stick Drift?
greetings

If the G-Boy was built properly it should be as simple as removing the screws on the back, opening the system, popping the old cells out of the cradle and slotting the new ones in. Just be sure that you put the cells in the correct orientation. The G-Boy Rev3 kits use the old v1 PMS which does not have reverse polarity protection and will die if you put the cells in backwards.

Does anyone know if you can build it without the kit because they are discontinued and if anyone have done it please contact me I’m trying to make one but there’s no guide without the kit. Contact me on discord: dangerous_ducks

An updated community version of the G-Boy case and PCB files has been around for a while actually https://bitbuilt.net/forums/index.php?threads/g-boy-pcb-files.5054/#post-55947
You have to source your own parts, but that thread has lists of almost everything required

I’ve checked it but I don’t wanna end up with all I need without a guide to build it and also I have a 3D printer so if there’s like a 3D print module I could use it to save some money. And tbh I’d really like if someone help me threw this project cause I really don’t wanna make any mistakes

You need to create your thread so you can ask all the questions you want there. I’m sure a lot of us here are willing to help you answer them.
