Super excited to be here, got here cause of GingerofOz. Going to school currently for "this kind of thing", electronics. At the moment did my first rp2040 breadboard gameboy half assed followed Taki Udons community post. Huge fan of what I see here and looking forward to doing my own project sometime in the future. Bought a mini nes recently that I"m looking at making into a crappy handheld as a first "portable". Super excited to see everyone projects as time goes on!

I'm making the same with a GameStation 5 (A mini PS5) but it will be a tabletop console:
PiiS5

Looking forward to read a worklog of your projects, good luck!

Hi everyone,

I got my first 3d printer in the mail this week and it has activated me to make some cool projects.
The Wii-Micro is currently on top in the waiting list, and i made this account so I could share my progress and ask questions if i have them.

So far I have not done a lot of things with electronics, but I am exited to learn.
The main reason I am getting into electronics is because I am interested in maybe studying electrical engineering in the future, but would first like to see if it's something for me.

Best regards,
Gideon de Graaf.

Hey! Im Seth (AKA Sethamphetamine or Setherson) and i love taking stuff apart. I love it so much that i destroyed my nintendo 2ds beyond recognition but have also done some cool things along the way. I love hacking/software modding every device i can get my grubby little hands on. About 3 months ago however, hardware modding and just hardware in general peaked my interest. This is when i found wii, and other console portablizing. This community it facinating and i really want to build my own inside of a wii u gamepad. Since then i have been slowly learning to solder and recently made this little deej volume controller for my pc.

It took around an hour and was the first time i ever soldered anything. It was so funny when i realized the quater inch wood instert i made at the bottom and had hot glued the potentiometers and arduino nano to made the little jumper wires to tall i had to cut it. Soon i will be modding my lil 2ds to have usb c (the format of the gods) and will be one step closer to my goal!

I had a question about wii portables. What wires should i be using? Ive seen metalic red and green ones all over the internet but ive never heard them mentioned. Also, if you have the time it would be nice if i could get some other recomended tools, equipment like flux and solder wire and iron.
