Question N64 Controller Board - First KiCad Project

This is my first time ever making something in KiCad. I am looking to get some suggestions, feedback, and input on the way that I created everything.

Does the schematic make any sense? Is the layout okay? How could I better design everything? Does the labeling look okay?

I want to know what are some common suggestions when doing PCB design.

It took me quite some time to figure out how to get the symbols and footprints working.

I essentially copied the design sparklebear had on one of their projects while I await for the sparkleboard mini.

Hello mate, I have to say This is really good work of your 1st PCB design. Personally, I am a self-taught (or Google-taught) hobbyist PCB design, I would like to add something:
- Avoid 90 degree traces:

- Avoid place traces near board edges:

- Place more vias to connect GND island (as I can see, there are many GND island/pins have not been connected yet)
I hope people will add more recommendations so that you and I can learn from them.

Looking good! I would fatten up those voltage traces, and make sure your decoupling capacitors are placed as close their IC pins as possible.

@marhalloweenvt fun fact - the "no 90 degree routing" has mostly been debunked.
