I know my ideas are all bad, but i think this one might be pretty good.
what is the one fatal flaw with current portables? No sensor bar makes it impossible to do certain tasks such as selecting things from a menu, for the lack a cursor. This is where This product comes in.


This allows you to use a playstation controller on the wii and can mimic the pointing of the wiimote with the joysticks. With one of these, the already amazing portable becomes near perfect.

please note i have not tried this and the idea is completely theoretical.

GC2Wiimote already accomplishes this. It hasn't been an issue for a long time.

I mean 2 ir leds and you can use a Wiimote too, Partybox works well for this

Also that page says exactly nothing about Wiimote IR pointer emulation. All it says its that it can emulate a Wii Classic Controller

If you need a sensor bar to go, all you need is 2 candles and boom, you’re set

I would suggest trying the current tools (RVLoader) before attempting to revolutionize the way things are done. RVLoader allows you to access everything without ever needing a Wii remote. GC2Wiimote, included in Hiidra/RVLoader, allows you to have your gamecube controller function as a Wii remote. The tools to do pretty much everything you are trying to accomplish are already present.
