The newest addition to my workstation and my first fully "finished" project!! I call it the "FrankenDell"... at least that's what it felt like while I was putting it together, lol!! It was a fun, useful and quick project that will hang on my wall so I can have a bigger screen for testing as I'm building different portables. It will also come in handy to hook up to my PC and throw schematics and such over so I don't have to keep moving back and forth from my PC desk to my work bench.
Normal Old 15.4" Dell Laptop Screen:
Add hot glue, a drill, some of my cats insulin syringe caps to use as standoffs, a $2 picture hanging kit and the "FrankenDell" is born.
1280x800 resolution with onboard VGA, DVI, HDMI and Audio amp. I have the VGA run hooked up to a Composite to VGA converter box so I can test through the different stages of the building process. This will come in really handy while playing with my Wii...

Nothing really new to you guys I'm sure but hey, it's the first project that I've had the time to actually finish so I'm proud of it!!

. Total cost was like $30 but I do plan on spending a bit and making a nicer looking case for it in the future... maybe. I kinda like it this way.
