Hey super friendtendos~
I was hoping I could get some help deciphering the pinouts on this LCD control board I salvaged from an old Nextplay DVD player, and whether or not it's usable for a portable Wii. I wasn't able to find the specs for this screen by googling all the labels on the board.
The LCD board was connected to the mainboard of the DVD player with two connectors: one with 12 pins, and one with 14 pins.
LCD board:
Corresponding ends on dvd motherboard:
Flipping the DVD board over reveals the pinouts:
I'm starting my first portable so I don't have any experience messing with LCD screens and speakers. Are all those GNDs redundant? Are there any signals I have but don't need? Need but don't have? Besides L/R speakers and RGB, I'm pretty lost.
Googling some of the other pins makes me think that the dvd motherboard was handling a lot more for the screen than anticipated.
If it's not practical to try it this way, I guess I can just buy a new screen.
Thoughts?
