I just finished trimming two wiis successfully so I could finally make an Ashida Wii portable. After getting everything wired up into the Ashida case, I was able to test it, and I got it to power on and boot. Wii seemed to be making a good connection to the thermal pads and I'm pretty certain it didn't overheat. After powering it on and off during testing a few times it no longer would boot. The VGA symbol on my portable would boot, and then the Wii would output just a plain black screen. I took everything apart and tested just the Wii motherboard with a composite signal with no data lines and the same thing was happening there too. Kept booting to a black screen. Figured something went wrong so I got a new Wii and started again. I re-wired every connection to the new Wii, and the same thing happened. It was working fine when I very first powered it on, then after turning it off, then on again, it now will not boot up. Just shows a black screen. I disconnected the data lines hoping to see the error message or something but nothing changed. I'm worried I cooked my second Wii now too, but I'm not sure why both were booting up just fine, even able to load a few games when I first tested them, and then after turning them off, then on, they are just booting up to a black screen now. Is it possible my batteries are just dead? I'm using a Nintendo Switch USB-C cable to try and charge them using the pms pd 3. Is there something I can test to see what's going on? Any guidance would be greatly appreciated as I'm not quite sure where to go from here.

Photos of the components and wiring would be helpful.

Aside from that, I have heard of the official Switch power supplies killing stuff because Nintendo did not adhere to the USB-C standard.

Thanks for a quick response stitches! I switched chargers earlier this afternoon and it seems the batteries are still charging fine. Got them up to around 3.8 volts. Pms 2 board is still outputting pretty close voltages. Only 0.01-0.03 V off, so I’m hoping at least my regulators are still functioning. Here is a quick photo, should i continue to disassemble things and take more detailed pictures?

If you are certain that your wii is outputting something, it could be sdcard corruption. Try taking the sandisk out and reformatting it or switching brands. Also reflow your usb data lines. They look alright but it cant hurt.
